Accepted digital image formats:
For good results please supply a high definition image. A file size of approximately 500kb. A sharp image with good contrast will produce the best results.
For engraving: If the subject you want engraving is in a printed photo, they should be in high definition. For example on a 6x4 printed photo you would want the subject to be around half the picture. ie a close-up portrait.
What work's well with photo engraved pendants:
The file size of your digital photo is very important as to how well it will engrave. You have to be aware the photo pendants are mostly the size of a 10p piece, so the level of detail visible to the human eye is limited by the size. For this reason we recommend close-up portraits of a person's face with a strongly contrasting plain background. A blonde haired person photographed with a yellow wall background will not have a strong outline for the eye to focus on. Similarly a black dog photographed on a dark carpet will not work well in engraving. Flash photos can work well as they increase contrast between the subject and the background.
Please appreciate animals have very few defining features other than their outline. To create definition in an engraving relies on contrast and this is a problem with animals as their fur makes them effectively featureless.We will produce what is ordered but will not accept any liability if the finished product fails to live up to the customers expectations.
* The sharper the image with good contrast will produce better results.
If you supply an image that is out of focus or of low resolution this will compromise the quality of what we can produce.

Images that are NOT permitted on the Photo Memento service:
- Images using the likeness of an existing copyrighted work to create new artwork
- Content we believe is abusive, deceptive, pornographic, obscene, defamatory, slanderous, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Names or logos of companies, names of brands, pictures of brands.
- Names or images of famous people.
- Names or pictures of third parties without their consent.
